The last shopping weekend before Christmas is here but you won’t catch us in a panic. You will catch us at the Brooklyn Craft Central Holiday Market where we’ll be gleefully crossing off the final items on our holiday list with hot toddies in hand. The 4th annual holiday market at Littlefield in Park Slope/Gowanus will be stocked with handmade goodies from local vendors. With the clock counting down, you can be sure you’ll find a variety of gifts among the 65 different vendors on Saturday and Sunday. Doors open at 12!
A porcelain and leather hanging planter from Fashioned is a perfect gift for my sister who is decorating her first home. I’m excited to pick up a cozy wool hooded jacket from House of Reboot for my picky boyfriend who never leaves the house without a few gadgets in his pockets. A monster plush from Zooguu for my nephew to cuddle will earn me the title of aunt of the year (or at least aunt of the day.)
With different vendors on each day and free admission the real question is why wouldn’t you come out to Littlefield on both Saturday and Sunday? Pick up some handpainted specialty treats from Jenni’s Cookies, a sure hit at your holiday party. Also look for artisanal goodies from Granola Lab, The Jam Stand and more. There will be weekend-long drink specials and tasty bites such as pupusas from El Olomega and other food trucks.
See you at Littlefield, 633 Degraw St. in Park Slope from 12-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
