Cece Kellie, or The Unperfectionist is known for her perfectly unperfect and wonderful style. She’s got a great eye for old-school Hollywood Glamour. Cece pulled together an inspiration board of items from the Krrb and Apartment Therapy Classifieds to help you add a bit of glam to your home.

Cece is a “treasure hunter, flea-marketer, thrift store junkie, putterer, obsessive compulsive arranger of this and that.” She looked at two pieces of inspiration before making picks across the Krrb and Apartment Therapy classifieds.

The Inspiration

Cece looked at this room for inspiration and kept in mind a natural item she loves.

“My Hollywood glam-go-ginormous-or-go-home project is inspired by the colors of a sea shell that I convinced a salesperson at ABC Carpet and Home in Manhattan to give me for free right out of the display window,” she says. “Blush, mauve, cream and gold. Soft and sophisticated, channeling a film starlet. Ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille…”

1. Choose a Few Showstoppers

Big, regal items define a room. The focal point pieces Cece chose include a mirrored coffee table and tufted headboard.

2. See Clearly

Many of Cece’s favorite items are made from crystal or lucite. Clear materials are classy and a great retro-throwback. She picked a fun lamp as well as beautiful shelves.

3. It’s All About The Details

Mirrors, a good rug and even a marble horse head. The personality of a room comes out in the finishing touches.

“Old mirrors. Can’t get enough of ‘em. Usually pretty easy to find and they make everyone look even more beautiful,” Cece says.
