As part of the series called The Hot Corner, we’ll be featuring Krrb corners that catch our eye with their well-curated inventory. Whether it’s upcycled, secondhand, vintage or handmade, be sure to see for yourself why we think these Krrbsters have it going on.

Sarah Bridger loves a good challenge. The blogger of Savvy Young Something has been refurbishing furniture on a budget since her college days. With a few tricks (and paint brushes) in her pocket, Sarah is now selling her updated Goodwill finds on Krrb. Her keen sense of color and style is why she holds the title for this week’s Hot Corner.

This art deco piece just called for a coat of green paint, says Sarah.

Although she’s new to the Krrb scene, this Washington D.C. based blogger certainly follows the Krrb way of life— even a curbside find can look like a million dollars with a fresh coat of paint. Sarah has graduated from painting everything white to experimenting with pops of color. She lets the furniture speak to her, letting the style and time period guide her color choices. A dresser with art deco detailing reminds Sarah of emerald greens so it gets modernized with a brighter shade of green.

Bright blue paint really modernizes this dresser.

Check out for yourself why Sarah’s Krrb corner is so hot you need sunglasses to view her brightly painted furniture. You can also read her blog for more on her refurbishing adventures.
