Known for her ability to add style to any place with just a few bucks, Krista Byers of Goodwill Glam shares some inexpensive ways to glam up your dining table in time for Thanksgiving turkey.
The holiday season is officially in full swing with Thanksgiving next week! It’s a lovely time of year to take time with friends and family and make things really special. I have some quick and easy tips to help you make your home beautiful for the holidays without breaking the bank.
The “tablecloth” you see pictured is actually a curtain panel that I picked up at Goodwill for $2.99. It was a curtain panel from Nate Berkus for Target line that was no longer in the package, and there was only one. I immediately knew it would be beautiful for a table setting.
Think Outside the Season
The gorgeous, gold flatware you see pictured was found in the summer at a thrift store. There was an entire bag of it, service for eight, plus additional serving pieces for just $30! While I knew we wouldn’t use it all the time, I grabbed it because it was a fabulous find for dinner parties, holidays and other special occasions. The gold chargers were also found at the thrift store for just .99 cents each! I also picked up the plates in this place setting at a thrift store.
Mix Low-end with High-end
The printed material you see pictured in the middle of the table setting is actually, a high quality wrapping paper from World Market. I believe it was $2.79 for the roll. The print adds such depth and richness for such a small price!
Keep in Mind What’s Important
The best things in life are free. Remember in the hustle and bustle of the season, it’s really all about the people in your life. Memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime.
