This year at Krrb we’ve gathered up all our New Year’s Resolutions to share with you. Hopefully, since we’re declaring these resolutions in a public space we’ll stick to them! What about you? What are your New Year’s Resolutions? Share them with us in the comments and achieve your goals!
My resolution is to put my phone down more. I’ve gotten into the nasty habit of checking my email when I first wake up. Being plugged in has become second nature to me and it’s something that needs to stop. So less Instagram and less text messaging and more in-person conversations and more experiencing life without a device in front of my face. Here’s to 2015!
I’m not one to make resolutions, so I’m not going to say that in 2015 I plan to eat less cake or to exercise more. Because in reality I know that there will always be cake and I will always choose a Netflix binge session over an elliptical. I will say though that in 2015 I will try to have more patience and be more tolerant in all situations thrown my way. Although it’s taken me quite some time, I’m learning now not to let other people’s actions or moods get the best of me. So in 2015 I will try my hardest to take more deep breaths and brush off the things that don’t matter!
I find New Year’s resolutions kind of depressing because I always make these grand, live-changing resolutions and I never actually keep them. However, this year, I’m going to keep it very simple and a lot more manageable. I resolve to write one letter each month to a friend or family member who lives far away and send it in the mail to them. Once a month. Totally doable. Also, I resolve to maybe not eat dessert for the month of January. See? The “maybe” is the key word in there. I will succeed.
This year my resolution is to just be the best me I can! I’d really like to continue running 3 – 4 times a week, I’d really love to perform stand up comedy at least 200 times this year and I’d also like to start writing and creating more comedy videos. Either way, whether I accomplish these or not, as long as I’m being my best self (which I always am) I’ll feel good about my year!
My New Years Resolution is the same as last year (but not because I gave up in Late January!)… It’s the same because I know I can accomplish more. For me, the challenge lies in my ability to keep up my motivation all year long. This past New Years, I made a promise to myself to explore the art scene and discover new artists and aesthetics. I was able to accomplish that and more since I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to travel to several Art Museums, shows, and events this year. However I have big plans for 2015. Onward and upward!
