Krrb is now part of the Apartment Therapy family! Check out the Marketplace for an even wider selection of furnishings and home decor.
Just like picnics and concerts in the park, nothing is more true to the summer season than outdoor markets and fleas. From handmade crafts to antiquing to food festivals to nigh bazaars, outdoor markets are a Krrbler’s pot at the end of a scavenging rainbow. We’ve got three markets you’ll want to browse this weekend in between your al fresco dining and pool time. Check out these handmade, upcycled, and secondhand finds or do some scavenging in your own neighborhood.
Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn, New York
The international Renegade Craft Fair will be showcasing handcrafted wares along the Williamsburg waterfront this year. Whether it’s jewelry, artwork or home decor, the DIY scene at this fair has it covered. We’re excited to see Krrb favorite Twig Terrariums selling their goods at Renegade this weekend.
Treasure Island Flea in San Francisco, California
Treasure Island Flea is a monthly event held on the awesome Treasure Island off the coast of San Francisco. On the last Saturday and Sunday of every month, the area fills up with antique and vintage vendors, handcrafted goods, delicious artisinal food and local wine, live music, workshops and more. With so much to do and see, we’ve picked out a few we have our eye on. Cisco’s Krrb corner has a few vintage clocks and scales that would look great in any living room. The bohemian chic shawl and 1960’s crocheted cape on Story Teller’s Vintage are perfect for chilly matinee viewings of the summer’s blockbusters. Find a mix of original and one-of-kind pieces designed by Erika Warburton on Fatal Jewelry’s Krrb corner — can we make the Peacock Ring ours now, please?
Randolph Street Market in Chicago, Illinois
Randolph Street Market is at it again this month with their wide selection of hand crafted, secondhand and vintage clothes, decor, and furniture. The outdoor (and indoor) market has just about everything under the sun inside Historic Plumbers Hall. We’re digging the upcycled brooches on Klosti’s Krrb corner and the cutely packaged bath bomb power by Lulu Blossom. How cool are the vintage posters offered by Chicago’s Center For The Prints and the screenprinted pillows on Billy Craven’s Krrb corner? We’ll take one of each.
What outdoor markets are you checking out this weekend?
