Have you bought your tickets yet for the Food and Kitchen Swap? Local foodies will share homemade recipes, edible treats and a few kitchen gadgets at this Brooklyn based event. If you’re looking for inspiration on what to swap with your neighbors, we’ve got a few ideas on Krrb and even more tips coming your way. Back again is Jane Lerner, of BK Swappers, with another great how-to on green tea simple syrup. This easy to make (and easy to swap!) mixture is a delicious base for summer cocktails. Whether or not you add a little rum or vodka, Jane suggest pouring a little green tea simple syrup over ice, topping it off with soda water and a twist of lime. Sounds to us like the perfect refreshment during this summer of heat waves! Remember to keep your tea flavored syrup refrigerated throughout its 10-day shelf life.
