I bet wine hanging from the ceiling tastes better.

I bet wine hanging from the ceiling tastes better.

There would be no greater joy than to see my wine bottles suspended from the ceiling in this beautifully crafted iron wine rack. Forged in Milwaukee by the very talented Kent Knapp who has been blacksmithing for many years, this wine rack is but one of the many amazing pieces in Milwaukee Blacksmith’s corner. Iron seems to be a forgotten element in modern home decor, but I really love it. Not only is the process itself steeped in history, but the finished product can have such a high level of craftsmanship that it’s sure to set your home apart from your friend’s over-Ikea-ized abodes.

Anyone know of any blacksmithing classes I could take? Although the thought of clumsy me in a class near molten materials sounds like it would be a bad idea for everyone involved…

Go check it out at Milwaukee Blacksmith’s Krrb corner in Milwaukee.

Cheers!

Just like there are different tastes for wine, there are different styles in metal art. The Milwaukee Blacksmith is beautiful. If you would like to see another artist work that is equally beautiful, very much  eye catching, take a look at this website http://www.cooliron.com. He makes wine treasure chests that are made of copper patina, brass and iron.

That’s a pretty neat wine rack. I’ll have to consider it for my collection. There’s a site called World to Home that has a nice selection of metal wine racks like this. Here’s a link if anyone wants to check it out:
