It’s easy to make your own creative backdrops for product photography (maybe for your Krrb listings) or blog posts at home. Read on to see how I make an easy to use (and store!) backdrop.
I like to glue my chosen fabric to cardboard so I can fold it up and put it away when it’s not in use. You can use foam core, I used poster board I received for free.
I cut my card board in half and duct taped them together to act as a hinge for easy storage and usage. Regular white Elmer’s glue was perfect to smooth my 50 cent yard sale burlap on to the cardboard. You may need to iron the fabric, but the glue helped me smooth the fabric out. You can paint it on with a foam paint brush to keep the glue even.
I have backdrops like this in different colors for different blog posts. I like the burlap here for texture. I also use roller blinds above my IKEA Expedit unit (shown in another tutorial so I always have easy, inexpensive options for shooting.
