I like to glue my chosen fabric to cardboard so I can fold it up and put it away when it’s not in use. You can use foam core, I used poster board I received for free.

I cut my card board in half and duct taped them together to act as a hinge for easy storage and usage. Regular white Elmer’s glue was perfect to smooth my 50 cent yard sale burlap on to the cardboard. You may need to iron the fabric, but the glue helped me smooth the fabric out. You can paint it on with a foam paint brush to keep the glue even.
