Valentine’s day is the perfect excuse to get dressed up! Whether you have plans with your significant other, your friends or you’re being daring and going on a first date- there are tons of different ways to dress for the occasion. Even if you are heading to the wine bar with girlfriends to whine about boyfriends past, February 14th is still the perfect day to pull out all the stops and get dolled up.
My favorite approach to dressing on this particular holiday is to go full glamour. By mixing both modern and vintage pieces, you can achieve a classy look while still leaving a whole lot to the imagination. Showing skin isn’t the only way to be sexy! By pairing a long slinky dress with a fur coat, fun heels and a vintage hat, you’re screaming “I just fell out of Jacqueline Susann’s Valley of the Dolls.”
If you happen to feel super confident on February 14th this year and want to go that lacy route, you’re in luck. There are some great finds on Krrb that will make you feel Paris-fashion-blogger levels of chic this year! Achieve that jaw dropping look without all the fuss. By pairing a lacy top with an a-line skirt and sensible flats, you’ll have your date in awe while also feeling comfortable enough to dance the night away.
I know I know, I’ve so far highlighted a lot of black items. And while my heart may be icy, I know that others embrace love in a colorful way! Show your personality and your femininity in that charming Zooey Deschanel type of way by wearing a vintage cocktail dress and vintage heels. A brightly hued ensemble will show your fun side while also helping your eyes pop! Have fun and be playful with your makeup, as well. Whomever you’re spending time with will be in for a good time!

Sophisticated, Suave and Masculine
There seems to be two types of guys that enter my life, the sophisticated type and that cool bad boy that you can’t seem to get enough of. Either way, they’ll need to dress the part this valentine’s day, too (especially if their date is looking top notch!) Whether you’re the guy dressing himself or his date who needs to help him out a bit- there’s still hope! By mixing a blazer and some suede monk strap shoes and bow tie to any outfit you already have in that closet, you’ll be ready to hit the town while looking like a gentleman.
