As shocking as this may come to you all, I am not much of an outdoorsman. I rarely go camping and I definitely can’t start a fire without a lighter—I’m not a magician! How does a non-outdoorsman such as myself still come off as the next Bear Grylls? Well, before any weekend of camping I always make sure I’m as prepared as possible and with these easy DIY campfire starters I can do just that.

    Steps

First thing you’ll want to do is start melting your wax to a liquid form. You can easily use old candles, wax rings, or beeswax.

While you’re melting your wax, go ahead and cut the egg carton in half. Place the carton over newspaper, as to make sure the liquid wax won’t spill everywhere. Take all of the lint or sawdust you’ve collected and distribute it equally through the carton.

Now that your wax is fully melted you can pour it onto your lint and let it sit. Once the wax has hardened, cut the carton into individual cups. Fold the top over and secure with twine. Now you’re ready to start a campfire and eat some s’mores!
