Meet Tina Roth Eisenberg, AKA Swiss Miss, one of the superstar curators of our upcoming, real-deal live auction, Lights, Camera, Auction. The uber-stylish and super smart designer recently spent time with us digging through props at Film Biz Recycling. Tina’s curated collection will be auctioned off to the masses on November 3rd (along with Apartment Therapy’s Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan and others) benefiting Film Biz and their quest to keep props out of landfills.

We’ve been avid readers of the Swiss Miss blog forever. Log on and find Tina’s musings about design projects (A Paper Record Player Wedding Invitation), innovative products (the Storage Bag & Play Mat-in-One), things that make her smile (“It’s Friday!“) and anything that highlights the beauty in the ordinary (Broccoli). On any given day you’ll find her typing away in her light filled, collaborative workspace, Studiomates, in DUMBO, Brooklyn, that she likes to call her “happy place.”

Surrounded by inspiring individuals day in and day out, Tina’s time is sufficiently taken up thinking, talking, and writing about design in all its manifestations. This full-on submersion has yielded many fruitful collaborations, including her supremely popular To-Do app, TeuxDeux, which was conceived on a Friday, designed by herself on a Saturday, and built on a Sunday by fellow Studiomates, Fictive Kin. It was almost immediately named The Web’s Most Beautiful To Do List by Fast Company.

Highlighting her adventures into every corner of the design world, her most recent work has found her helping the design-starved temporary tattoo industry, enlisting the crème de la crème (Dave Brown, Julia Rothman, and Jim Datz) to create ”designy” temporary tattoos. You can now safely avoid having clip-art linger on your forearm for by picking a few up from Tattly.

So strap on a tatt and come on out and join us on November 3rd for delicious, cheap tacos, free beer, and plenty of fast-talking auction action. Take it all in and take a bit of Tina home with you.

Simple, fun, and elegant: hallmark Swiss Miss' to be yours at Lights, Camera, Auction, November 3rd.
