Spinach

Sam-I-Am would definitely not approve.

Don’t be alarmed by the color of this drink. It may look like something out of the Swamp Thing but this smoothie is a delicious concoction of chocolate almond milk, peanut butter and banana. It’s tasty and has all the beneficial vitamins of the added spinach.

Honeydew Melon

Is it too early for the perfect summer drink?

Is it too early for the perfect summer drink?

With summer on the horizon, we cannot wait to enjoy one of these in the park. A delicious blend of honeydew, fresh baby spinach, vanilla yogurt, and skim milk makes this fruit-centric smoothie a summer treat!

Honey, do check out the recipe at Afamilyfeast.com.

Peachy Keen Vanilla

Peaches n' Cream? Yes, please!

Peaches n' Vanilla? Yes, please!

Not only is this smoothie absolutely scrumptious, it’s also vegan! It was created by Toronto-based Janet of The Tastespace because of her obsession with local Ontario peaches. A smoothie that supports local agriculture is our kind of beverage.

Chocolate

Never had a chocolate smoothie I didn't like.

Never had a chocolate smoothie I didn't like.

Chocolate makes a great foundation for any beverage, especially when peanut butter is thrown in the mix. This smoothie calls for raw peanut butter and a couple frozen bananas. It’s like drinking a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup!

Beets

Meet the beets!

This smoothie is beet-iful!

With such a distinct flavor and texture, there’s no wonder beets are making a resurgence. This smoothie recipe adds some interesting flavors into the mix such as cinnamon and strawberries.

  • Thanks for the shout-out! Homemade smoothies are definitely an easy-to-make treat. :)

All looks lovely; there is one to be made with beets, carrots, and apples, and tossing in some kale will not hurt either.  I am eying my juicer but I have no beets or kale. Oops, sorry. Enjoy just the same, thank you.
