Monday’s are tough, especially after your team just lost out on a golden opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. But all is not lost. Here are five ways to boost the mood and get you back in the game.
You’ve gotta love Muji, the Japanese answer to Ikea. Just the fact that “Muji” means “brandless quality goods” was enough to win us over but then they go and introduce Found Muji and we’re head over heals. Similar to the incredible Kiosk store in New York City, Found Muji’s products are composed of, as the New York Times’ Brook Hodge’s writes, “everyday goods that are updated, repurposed or ‘Muji-fied’ to better suit contemporary life and the company’s clean, minimal aesthetic. But Found Muji goes back to the source, showcasing traditional, vernacular and often handmade housewares and decorative objects that have inspired a multitude of Muji products.” We’re happier already!
It seems that winter has finally begun and that means snow has started to fall accordingly. So what better way to celebrate than to hit the slopes with a Venture snowboard. Made in Silverton, Colorado, Venture has conservation at the core of its philosophy, using Forest Stewardship Council certified wood and participating in 1% for the Planet since 2006. Their new production facility will even “include passive and active solar features as well as sustainable, recycled, and reclaimed materials throughout.”
Yes, we are getting swept up in the Azealia Banks hype too but hey, it’s hard not too. Her single “212” is just flat out different than everything else out there and she looks like she’s having so much fun just making music that you’ve got love her. Plus, extra credit for that Mickey Mouse sweater. Check it out (warning, lyrics NSFW depending on where you work) and keep your eyes open for her debut album and an upcoming tour.
