Pay a visit to this vintage furniture shop in Bed-Stuy.
After buying his own brownstone in Bed-Stuy almost a decade ago, Ban Leow realized there was a need for good furniture in his neighborhood. So he opened CasaBAN to cater to the hip crowd, offering vintage furniture at an affordable price point. No longer Bed-Stuy’s best kept secret, CasaBAN was voted Best Home Decor by Citysearch last year. Be sure to visit CasaBAN on Krrb to see his quickly changing inventory of mid century furniture and read on to see what’s selling at this hot spot.

Ban Leow fluffs pillows and changes the layout of his shop constantly.
Hi Ban!
What’s really good about this location?
It’s easily accessible. This is a great corner store with lots of pedestrian traffic on Tompkins Avenue.
What do you do to draw people in to your shop?
A lot of it comes from word of mouth referrals and recommendations. I also design beautiful window displays that change bi-weekly. Evolving inventories that are rare and one of a kind helps.
What do you sell that’s popular with the locals?
People love Haywood Wakefield’s collect ambles, Eames chairs, Drexel, Median, Lane and Paul Evan’s credenzas. I sell a lot of mid century modern ceiling and floor lamps. Danish sofas and coffee tables are also popular.
Thanks Ban!
