Visit the Vegan Shop Up this weekend.
The long running Vegan Shop-Up has been dedicated to featuring eco-friendly goods and vegan food purveyors in the Brooklyn area. Although the semi-regular event had taken a break earlier this fall, Vegan Shop-Up is back in full swing every Saturday leading up to Christmas. Stop by Pine Box Rock Shop from noon to 5pm on Saturdays for the next two weekends to get your fill of handmade soaps, clothes and vegan treats. We caught up with Sarah to find out what’s in store for the Vegan Shop Up so read on.

Shop with an appetite, this market is full of tasty vegan treats.
Hi Sarah! Anything new or different about this pop up?
For the first time we’re doing tree Vegan Shop-Ups in one month! It’s very exciting and we’re glad to be able to offer a specialized holiday market in a really fun atmosphere.
Tell us a little about the vendors for this holiday market.
First of all, we’ll have the Cinnamon Snail vegan food truck parked out front! Donuts, sandwiches, you name it. Vaute Couture will be selling their exceptionally chic animal-friendly winter jackets. Bunna Cafe will be there with the tastiest Ethiopian food. Fresh Till Death will treat you to freshly roasted coffee and homemade nut milks. Meow Meow Tweet will keep you clean and smelling pretty with organic body oils, soaps, lip balms, deodorant, and candles. Kitty Jones will be selling hand printed and stitched cat nip mice toys. Monks Meats makes and sells a variety of the best homemade seitan flavors, so don’t let their name fool you. And Chai Mookie, with hot Mookie Mulling blend of chai and cider, will keep you warm and cozy for the winter. Plus there’s so much more, you really just got to come experience it for yourselves!
Sounds dreamy! Stocking stuffers are key. Any good gifts under $20?
Tons! Rescue Chocolate has a box of bow wow bon bons, Gone Pie has Choc peanut butter primates, Meow Meow Tweet, carries travel size tea tree deodorant, Chai Mookie sells the best chai tea espresso blend, Dirty Mookie, and Kitty Jones carries handmade catnip mouse toy.
Awesome! What’s on your holiday shopping list this year?
Hmmm… everything! Jewelry from the Careful People, soaps and candles from Meow Meow Tweet, totes from the Tafari, peanut butter cups from Gone Pie, etc. etc.
Thanks Sarah!
