Look around your kitchen. Some of those gadgets can pull double duty.
Let’s face it. There is never enough room in your kitchen for all the gadgets you could use. To make most of that prime pantry real estate, we found five kitchen gadgets that can pull twice their weight. Get creative with your cooking gear and read on.

Baking pans and muffin tins take up plenty of room in the kitchen. Double their use by turning them over and using the reverse shape to mold edible bowls and cups.
Bonus Use: Muffin pans are ideal for freezing portion size amounts of stock, veggies, and soups.
Chopsticks

On nights you’re not having sushi, chop sticks are ideal for scrambling eggs and deep frying food.
Bonus Use: Try pitting cherries and olives by pushing a chopstick through the center, popping the pit out.

You only really need one or two cutting tools in your kitchen. Despite their name, pizza cutters are multifunctional. Use them to slice herbs and portion out brownies and homemade fudge.
Bonus Use: The sharp blade is perfect for cutting handmade pasta.
Pastry Blender

The pastry blender is one of the most underutilized gadgets in your kitchen drawer. Use it to mash avocados for guacamole, hard boiled eggs for egg salad and berries for jam.
Bonus Use: Pull out the pastry blender next time you need to tenderize meat. It’ll get the job done.

Pare down your kitchen. An ice cream scoop does more than serve ice cream. Bakers rely on this tool for perfectly portioned cupcakes or muffins. Coat it with a little vegetable oil for easy maneuvering.
Bonus Use: Think outside the box and use your scoop to make meatballs, falafel and melon balls.
