After months spent agonizing over the name of her business, Lori Preece finally settled on Thee Velvet Glove as the moniker for her furniture restoration obsession turn revenue stream. To Lori, the name symbolizes something that may be a little battered, broken or scraped up but has good bones and just needs a little tender loving care. She salvages and customizes shabby chic styled furniture and accessories you won’t find in furniture stores around Mesa, Arizona. See for yourself what’s available in this pioneering corner.

Inspired by many different styles including French Provincial, cottage, contemporary and shabby chic, Lori works one-on-one with her customers to create unique decor that fits their homes. While searching for potential venues to sell her painted furniture, Lori came across Krrb and was taken by the idea that you could see other people in your neighborhood with the same interest.

Visit Thee Velvet Glove’s Krrb corner to browse one-of-a-kind finds in the Southwest. Part of the proceeds from Lori’s sales go to Fix the Hurt, a non-profit organization that promotes domestic violence awareness, a charity near and dear to her family.
