Check out the full video series here.

If the Olympics inspires you to train like Gabby Douglas, don’t forget to fuel up. Luckily you can make your own energy bars without turning on the oven. Jessica Blackman, Krrb’s Community Manager gives us the lowdown on making no-bake energy bars. These healthy snacks are not only friendly on the waistline, they’re also light on the wallet. Jessica suggests buying a variety of oats, nuts, berries and seeds in bulk, a more cost efficient option than energy bars at $5 a pop. Remember to play around with the recipe to your taste, making sure you have enough wet ingredients like honey, chocolate hazelnut spread and nut butter to bind your dry ingredients like energy boosters chia seeds, flax seeds and blueberries.

Hmm…I’m going to have to try a variation of these. I’m thinking Nutella!

These look delicious and seem easy to make. I love to grab an energy bar for breakfast or a snack. I am always rushing through the day and these bars are a great way to get something healthy to eat on the go without spending too much money or eating fatty foods.
