This weekend be sure to check out the third annual Altered Book Show in the Bay Area. Over 150 local artists have incorporated books into their artwork. Not just for reading, these books have been transformed into sculptures, installations, jewelry and more. There is also an ongoing silent auction through May 26. Visit Marin Museum of Contemporary Art for more details on the exhibit at 500 Palm Drive, Novato.

Atlas Obscura may have originated in Brooklyn, but Obscura Day, their yearly celebration of unusual places is international. This Saturday, April 28, partake in community-driven guide to the world’s hidden wonders. Activities include tours, hikes, workshops and more.
