The holiday of love is almost upon us and we know the temptation to pick up some Stouffer’s chocolates and call it a day might be overwhelming, but wait…There is an alternative to the run of the mill Valentine’s Day chocolates and flowers—shopping local! On Sunday February 12th our favorite vegan event will be taking place in our favorite vegan bar, Pine Box Rock Shop. With over twenty vendors with treats from soap to shoes all made by local merchants.

We caught up with some of the vendors participating in the shop-up to ask them who their celebrity Valentine would be and here’s what they said:

Raganella: Fred Armisen
Roots in Rust: Hugh Jackman
Woodside Bakerhouse: Eddie Redmayne. Redheads with freckles for the win!
Electric Blue Baking Company: My HUSBAND! Years ago, he was in a movie. I fell in love with him at first sight when I saw the movie. I literally made all of my friends watch this movie to see this beautiful boy I was obsessed with. Then, one day, I was at a New Year’s party with my friend and she saw him there. She came running up to me and grabbed my hand and dragged me over to meet him. The rest is history. Gotta love NYC!!
The best part of this story is that he will be working with me behind my table at the Shop-Up this weekend :)

Not only is this Vegan Shop-Up special because of the Valentine’s Day theme, but because this pop-up shop will be celebrating its first year anniversary. Yay!
