Tara and Jeff working their market magic.
In addition to gorgeous soaps, they create soy candles, deodorant cream, insect repellent, facial masks, and the like, all in their small Brooklyn kitchen. They sell online and at local markets where they have constructed their own portable booth that comes with them each time.
Reaching neighbors and maintaing a transparent commercial relationship is important to Tara and Jeff. In fact, taking part in the local marketplace was the inspiration for creating the company, “we started Meow Meow Tweet out of a desire to participate in local commerce. As purveyors, we hope to impact small changes in the lives of our customers”.
Although making just one neighbor smell like sweet grapefruit probably wasn’t the change they were thinking of, it IS a change we can believe in. Yum.
